PRE-WEDDING: SPANISH BAY HAPPY HOUR

If you'd like to join us for a no-host happy hour at Spanish Bay Thursday, 9/8 after 4pm, please do so. We will be at the fire pits in the back of Spanish Bay. It's on a first come first serve basis so seats aren't guaranteed. For those of you interested, their bagpiper begins playing close to sunset. If you know in advance that you'll be stopping in to see us, please let us know using this form.

WEDDING DAY: IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION AND VENUE INFORMATION

• WEDDING DAY: The wedding is on a Friday, 9/9 at 4:30pm at the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur.

• ATTIRE: Dress is Cocktail Attire, but feel free to wear something more or less dressy. Also, choose footwear that will be comfortable and stable on a grassy surface.

• SHUTTLES: The only way to get to the wedding venue is via shuttles we are providing. No cars will be able to park at the venue and you will not be able to use rideshare service (Uber, Lyft) due to lack of Wi-Fi and cell service (more info is below). (While shuttles are leaving from Carmel, we can transport people staying in Big Sur on the way down and the way back, if needed.)

• SHUTTLE LOCATION: The shuttle pickup and drop off location is Starbucks at the Carmel Crossroads at 3pm. Several shuttles will be available including an ADA van. We will be following up with an email to provide you contact information if you're running late.

• WEDDING VENUE: The wedding is at the Henry Miller Memorial Library. It's not technically a library, and the wedding is entirely outdoors. September is one of the warmer months in Big Sur with temperatures averaging 77 during the day and 50 in the evenings. Please bring a jacket as it gets cool in the evening.

• ENTERTAINMENT/OPEN MIC: We have some fun entertainment planned, including dancing and an open mic if you'd like to sing, play a song, read a poem, etc.... (We will have a sound system, a guitar, and a ukulele or feel free to bring your own instrument!)

• WIFI/CELL SERVICE: There is no cell service or Wi-Fi at the library. You can use the library phone (831) 677-2714 as an emergency contact number.

• WEDDING TOAST: We hope you will join us for the wedding toast. Find it here and memorize it if you can: Wedding Toast or save this picture in your phone photos just in case.

• SHUTTLES BACK TO CARMEL: The wedding will wind down at 10pm and shuttles will transport guests back to Starbucks at the Carmel Crossroads arriving around 11pm.

• JUST FOR FUN: If you'd like to get into the Big Sur vibe prior to the wedding, we recommend reading/listening to Henry Miller's book Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch.

POST WEDDING: MEET AND GREET (SATURDAY, 9/10 & SUNDAY, 9/11)

We will be home all day Saturday and Sunday and have food and drinks in the evening if you'd like to stop by to hang out, catch up or get to know each other more. You're all family to us! If you know in advance that you'll be stopping in, please let us know using this form.
